burning a CD, viewing photos, etc) however I should stress strongly that this is a backup/archive device, not a 100% available disk drive. I occasionally use it for online activity (e.g. If the unit is left on more than 20 minutes it becomes VERY hot and I would have to assume this might negatively impact its reliability if used on a continuous basis. The Iomega has worked flawlessly as a backup device for 6 months now. Very good performance for a USB hard drive, and comes on line quickly upon powerup.

Super simple to use, plug in and drop and drag. Does NOT run off USB power.
I have backed up two computers to the device and had no difficulties doing so. The Iomega Prestige external hard drive is stylish and very affordable. It was very easy to set up.
